Taking ‘Scions’ to a new platform
I do hope you’ll read The Blighted Treasure when it goes live on Quibble tomorrow. If not, I hope you at least check out Quibble. Not because all AI is bad. Check it out because the authors on Quibble poured themselves into their stories—their plots, their characters, their settings—and that means something, I think.
Book 2 Complete
Inside: Some gratitude, some plot points I’ve abandoned along the way, and my general plans for the third book.

One year, one month
Wednesday marked one year since the first chapters of The Blighted Treasure were published on Royal Road.
Now on Patreon
When Novel #2 and Tales From Tyrconnell #3 are ready, I’ll be posting chapters early for my members.
First map of Tyrconnell
As I mentioned in another post, I’m a bit of a geography… “enthusiast.” I’ve got plans to create a map for Book 2 when it’s closer to release, so I’ve been practicing by building a map based off of locations in The Blighted Treasure, Reforging a Blacksmith and Wolf Hunt.
Release schedule
I’m writing Book #2! And another Tale From Tyrconnell. When will they be released?
My unlikely journey toward ‘Scions’
Six months ago this seemed too far-fetched for a bucket list. On the final day of September I finished an 88,000-word first draft of a story that has rolled around my head for five years, first as a video game and later a concept album.
Mapping out a plot
There have been few internet-based problems I couldn’t solve with Google Sheets and/or Google Earth (Pro). And in the cases where they didn’t solve the problem, they still helped find the solution.
